The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre was the darkest day in the British history of India. Hundreds of men, women and children peacefully protesting at the Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) in Amritsar against the draconian measures introduced by the government of the day were gunned down by the British Indian Army on 13 April 1919.

This year marks the 100th year of this tragic incident.
